Originally drawn by Alex Raymond, Flash Gordon was a handsome polo player and Yale graduate who accompanied Dr. Hans Zarkov on a faster than light starship to the planet Mongo. The Flash Gordon comic strip has been translated into many different media including movies and animated cartoon series. The latest version, a Flash Gordon TV series, was broadcast on the Sci Fi Channel.
