Yosemite Sam is an irascible character in Warner Brothers’ original Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of classic cartoons created between 1930 and 1963. He first appeared in a 1945 Bugs Bunny cartoon "Hare Trigger" yelling "Varmint, I'm a-gonna blow you to smithereens!" With his 11-gallon hat, he had the loudest voice and the largest ego north, south, east aaaaand west of the Pecos and he became yet another foil for Bugs Bunny.
