The Imperial Stormtroopers from George Lucas’ Star Wars movies were originally called Clone Troopers before the formation of the Galactic Empire. In Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, the troopers were cloned from bounty hunter Jango Fett to create the Army of the Republic. Then they were given new armor and weapons and reorganized into the Stormtrooper Corps of the Empire in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.
