Easter Bunny Bobblehead
The Easter Bunny is believed to have originated in Alsace and Southwest Germany where it was first mentioned in German writings during the 1600’s. The first edible Easter bunnies were made in Germany during the early 1800’s from pastry and sugar. The Easter bunny was introduced to America by German settlers who arrived in Pennsylvania Dutch country during the 1700’s. Today the Easter Bunny brings colored eggs and candy in colorful baskets to children all over America on every Easter holiday.
